Photography Workshop | BurkeShops Contest Entries

**UPDATE: LAST DAY TO VOTE! Please vote before midnight tonight!**

These images are the entries from the students that attended the first BurkeShop on 6/29/09. We are so encouraged by your entries!

The winner receives a copy of Mike Colon & Bob Davis’ Master Your Craft DVD, that was generously donated by Mike Colon. If you haven’t seen Mike Colon’s or Bob Davis’ work and resources you can do so by visiting Mike Colon and Bob Davis websites. Both of these men are incredible individuals with genuine hearts of giving and sharing. I am happy to call them my friends. This DVD is a recap of the 9 city tour they did in 2008. It was a very informative event, well worth the investment. I am confident that the winner of this contest will be a better person and photographer after watching this DVD. Thanks for donating the copy Mike!

I want to thank the students that came to the first BurkeShop and making it a success! The intentions of the BurkeShops Photography Workshops are to build YOU up as photographers. We hope to instill values, skills and techniques in you, so that you walk away with confidence when creating photographs or running your business.

These are all winners! We are so happy that you all entered a photo. We wish you the best of luck and will notify you if you are the winner! Please vote for your favorite image at the bottom of this post.

  1. Dave,

Great pictures… it was really difficult to pick the best, although i did not agree with the majority they are all wonderful… hope all is well with you and yours

    Mike

  2. All the images are beautiful and touching.
I felt that image #8 captured and conveyed a universal emotion that all new parents can identify with.
Making the viewer feel the emotion that is in the photo (not just a recording of an event) is what photography is all about.
Great job on all of them!

  3. I THINK EVERYONE DID A WONDERFUL JOB, BUT IF I WAS THE MOTHER OF THAT BABY I WOULD WANT TO PURCHASE THE LARGEST PHOTO OF #4. THAT IS THE MOST PRECIOUS PICTURE. I THINK SHE SHOULD HAVE WON SOMETHING.
